Apollo Tyres

Project Overview

This one came through Plankton Collective, working as part of the animation team on a commercial campaign for Apollo Tyres. A brand built around strength and endurance. Tied together with Sachin Tendulkar, a name that needs no introduction in Indian cricket. The idea was to fuse both legacies into a single visual identity, using three elemental forces as the throughline: fire, mountain, and storm.

The Campaign

The project split into three distinct films, each one built around its own theme:

Agg (Fire) — intensity and relentlessness.
Chataan (Mountain) — immovable strength.
Toofan (Storm) — unstoppable force.

Each film leans on its element as a metaphor for what both Tendulkar and Apollo Tyres represent dominance that's earned through resilience, not spectacle.

The Making Of

Working within a full production pipeline. Agency, director, production house, and the Plankton Collective animation team all in the loop, meant the design language had to stay consistent across all three films while still giving each one room to feel distinct through its own elemental theme. My part was on the animation film design and 2D animation side, helping build out that visual language as part of the wider team.

Final Outcome

The Apollo Tyres campaign became a chance to work at a bigger studio scale. Collaborating across a full agency-and-production pipeline rather than a solo project, and to see how a strong central metaphor (fire, mountain, storm) can hold three separate films together as one coherent brand story.
